Alabama Medical Cannabis Update: Patient Certifications Opening Soon

Alabama’s medical cannabis program is officially underway, and The Green Remedy is in the final phase of launching patient certifications.

Patients who complete their intake now will be prioritized as soon as scheduling opens.

Dispensaries are not yet operational, so patients are not behind in the process. This is the ideal time to get your paperwork completed and secure your place.

Our first office will be opening in Montgomery. Followed by Birmingham and then the Huntsville area.

Alabama Medical Marijuana Card


Alabama has approved the following conditions for medical cannabis:

  • Autism

  • Cancer-related cachexia, nausea or vomiting, weight loss, or chronic pain

  • Crohn's disease

  • Depression

  • Epilepsy or condition causing seizures

  • HIV/AIDS-related nausea or weight loss

  • Panic disorder

  • Parkinson's Disease

  • Persistent nausea not significantly responsive to traditional treatment (except nausea related to pregnancy, cannabis-induced cyclical vomiting syndrome, or cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome)

  • PTSD

  • Sickle Cell Anemia

  • Spasticity associated with motor neuron disease, including ALS

  • Spasticity associated with Multiple Sclerosis or spinal cord injury

  • Terminal illnesses

  • Tourette's Syndrome

  • Chronic or intractable pain in which conventional therapies and opiates is contraindicated or has proven ineffective.
